Encryption - Data in Transit

In the patient’s record of the EMR, Health.io can share data for review based on the partner’s requirements and system capabilities. It sends the data over standard healthcare protocols (such as FHIR) and secures it utilizing TLS (version 1.2 or higher). It encrypts the information in transit over the internet with TLS 1.2. It sets additional security controls, such as system authentication, VPNs, and the use of firewall rules, based on the partner’s IT capabilities.
